The Golden Cape in Bol, Brac

Bol is a town on the south of the island of Brač, which is most known for its Zlatni rat beach( often referred to as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn).

How to get there?

We took a car ferry for about an hour from Split to Superstar, Brac and then a further hour of bus from Superstar to Bol.

What you can do there?

It's a quite windy pebble beach with lots of tourist, but  it is rather big enough and the water is definitely crystal clear with jewel color. Having a nice sunshine and cool swim there is a must.

Also, Bol is a heaven for water sport lovers and here we saw many people playing kite surfing. It's really cool and we shall reserve some time to try it.

Unforgettable holidays in Hvar

If you are looking for an unforgettable holidays?......go to Hvar.

It is the longest and the sunniest Croatian island and one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Island Hvar is also famous for its pleasant Mediterranean climate which is characterized by gentle winters, warm summers and many hours of sunshine (2,718 hours a year). there are vast fields of lavender, ancient olive trees and vineyards.

View from Hvar fortress

It takes about 20-25 mins to walk up along a steady slope to the fortress in which you can have an excellent view on Hvar harbour and its nearby islands.

Attraction of sunset and beach party

At the Hula-Hula Beach bar, you can enjoy the best view of sunset with chill-out music and drinks.

Boat excursions to Pakleni Islands

After an early-morning breakfast, we headed to the Pakleni islands in which the most popular beaches of Hvar are situated.

A water taxi to Palmazan
It was a small beach with crystal clear water and calm atmosphere
Having a nice lunch at Restaurant Palmižana, Meneghello, we had a short hiking over the island before returning to Hvar.

There are numerous of sobe in Hvar and we stayed in a non air conditioning one with a small terrace in which we could have a nice DIY dinner there with comfortable breeze. Actually it's rather cool at night and this is not a problem without air conditioning at room at all.

See ‧ Seek ‧ Explore in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is a stunning city with its amazing Old Town which became an UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.

George Bernard Shaw said: "Those who seek paradise on Earth should come to Dubrovnik and see Dubrovnik".

So here I come and see ......

Getting Around Old Town
At the Pile Gate, crossing a stone bridge and here is the Stradun which is a broad central boulevard lined by 17th-century buildings.

Well, people there won't miss any chance to have sunbathing

The Rector’s Palace was Ragusan government’s seat of power
City Bell Tower and St. Blasius Church,on Luza square
Old port, night time

What you can see from the very well preserved City Wall walk?

To avoid the crowd, I started the walk from the Ploce Gate in evening and it took about 1.5 to 2 hrs to complete the walk leisurely.

You can reach here by cable car from old port or driving up a narrow mountain road to have an excellent top view of the city.

In Love with the amazing beaches on crystal clear Adriatic Sea

- St. Jakov

It is a pebble and sandy beach with a tremendous view on Dubrovnik and the Lokrum island. As St. Jakov is a bit far from old town, it is less crowded and you can enjoy sunbathing there without being disturbed.

- Banje beach

If you want to save some walk and enjoy a more lively atmosphere, Banje is a good choice as it is the closest beach to the Old Town with stunning view of Dubrovnik Old port and walls. Also it is claimed to be the most attractive beach in Croatia.
